Hamilton Henson Award (2024-25)

Educational Scholarship Opportunity

The Rongotea and Districts Lions Club proudly announces the Hamilton Henson Award for the 2024-25 academic year. This prestigious scholarship offers financial support of up to $2,500 to promising students from the Central Districts region who are pursuing further education after secondary school.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be from the Central Districts region
• Planning to enroll in an NZQA-approved course at any New Zealand institution
• Can be studying either full-time or part-time (preference given to full-time students)
• Open to various educational paths, including:
  
  • University studies
  • Polytechnic courses
  • Trade apprenticeships
  • Industry Training Organisation programs

Award Details

• Scholarship value: Up to $2,500
• Payment administered by: Rongotea and District Lions Club
• Purpose: To encourage and support young people in pursuing further education after completing secondary school

2024 Car Show

Thanks to everyone that supported our 2024 car show.

Every year, Arohanui Hospice extends compassionate care to over 1,100 patients facing life-limiting conditions across our region.

The money raised at the car show goes directly to Arohanui Hospice to help them provide invaluable support to patients’ families and loved ones during these challenging times.
